Trolls have been acting like pests for centuries at this point.
They are vicious beasts who live in villages or fortresses in the mountains,
though it is believed that they originally hail from far beyond the seas.
Their people are organized in tribes, and are lead by a chieftan, the strongest warrior of their group.
They communicate in grunts and barks, making them sound more primitive than they are.
Tribes often have a shaman, who boosts their strengh and fullfils the role of healer.
They may have little magical ability, but their knowledge of herbs is unparalleled.
While Trolls prefer solitude and generally leave our kingdom alone, reports have come from villages near the outskirts of our great kingdom.
Bands of armed trolls have plundered their food stores and burned down their houses.
Our Scouts have confirmed that large groups of these green beasts are roaming our territories,
and that these attacks are occuring more than ever.
We can only assume they are gathering food to build an army in order to go to war.
Their latest attack on the Queen's Castle was bold, but may be the first of many.
The Chieftan
The strongest troll of this tribe. He has been seen wielding the magical blade he must have stolen from a defeated foe,
which makes him even more dangerous than most.
No troll wil even challenge him, as no troll warrior will be able to overpower the wielder of a Gemblade on their own.
The Shaman
While the shaman of this tribe may never become as powerful as the Fright Knight's necromancer or Majisto, she is no common healer.
Known as Rah'thain, this shaman is one of the only shamans who has ever come close to the skill and knowledge of true wizards.
She reportedly even speaks our language.
Army structure and equipment
Troll armies are not all that structured. They consist of hordes of ogers and troll warriors who are armed with crude swords, spears and axes.
Their weapons appear to be made from low quality iron and bronze, but they don't need to have high quality weaponry to be lethal.
Their strength lies in their numbers, fearlessness and above human strengh.
Trolls protect themselves with thick helmets and sometimes bronze chestplates, though most are dressed in rags.
Ogers are big and as strong as 10 men.
They are mostly used to pull heavy carts and warmachines, but are released in battle to wreak havok on enemy shield walls or break through gates.
They are as dumb as they are strong, which makes them even more dangerous as they have no self preservation.
It takes a whole batallion to take one down, but be aware that arrows and swords are not enough to hurt or seriously injure it.
Troll handlers keep them chained or busy with food, as these brutes tend to wander off and get lost.
The trolls have few archers, but appear to have built bigger ranged weapons.
Their big ogers pull around war machines that can hurl exploding projectiles over lange distances.
We are not sure what kind of magic is used to achieve this, but I have sent scouts to investigate.
